Celebrated Seiko Time…

Seiko is easily one of the most popular and recognizable watch brands in the world. Interestingly the solar power concept was originally conceived in the late 1970’s with the introduction of calculators from Casio and Texas Instruments and select timepieces featuring solar panels. The solar watch was developed and conceptualized by Seiko, Citizen and popular Japanese watchmakers at the time.…

Citizens Of Time

Citizen  is one of the largest and most popular watchmakers in the world today. The company’s timekeeping origins date back to 1924 in Tokyo, Japan with the introduction of a pocket watch by the Shokosha Watch Research Institute. The pocket watch was given the name Citizen by the city’s mayor with hopes that a luxury item of this quality would become available to ordinary citizens and sold throughout the world by the Institute. The Tokyo mayor’s statement would later prove to become a prophecy as the Institute changed their name to Citizen and introduced many revolutionary timepieces in the past…
