Ebel adds navy blue to its Classic Sport Chrono Marine line of watches. Blue is the trendiest color for Autumn- Winter 2011/2012, with bags, shoes, coats and winter wear sporting a blue hue and now ,of course, the new navy blue from Ebel.  The Ebel Classic Sport Chrono Marine adds a vibrant vitality to the wearer’s image.

Unveiled in March 2011, the Classic Sports Chrono Marine embraces colors representing the pure natural tones of the earth – navy blue, coral, brown, beige and khaki.

Ebel’s newest collection of watches emits a sense of fun and freedom – to go beyond boundaries of boredom and explore new avenues.

This new collection maintains the Ebel Classic Sport signature hexagon case punctuated with distinctive screws. A high quality steel case surrounds a dial decorated with an attractive striped motif.  Sub dials, silver toned hour markers and hands as well as a date aperture at the 3 ‘o’clock position display the time, date and chronograph results. A chronograph calculates the passage of time between two points very much like a stop watch, except a chronograph has the capability of tracking an interval of time, while still maintaining regular timekeeping abilities.

The Chronograph Seconds hand  perfectly matches the color of the strap providing an  intriguing aesthetic quality to the watch. The dial sports three sub dials, however the dial is easy to read and clutter free. The Ebel Classic Sports Chrono Marine is water resistant to 50mm and scratch resistant. The watch has a polished smooth finished with elegant pushers on the side. Vertical indented striping decorating the rubber strap adds to the watches overall sporty look.  So far Ebel has not released pricing on the Classic Chrono Marine timepieces, but being that this watch is crafted in steel, and powered by a quartz ETA movement as opposed to a more labor intensive mechanical movement, the price will probably be quite affordable.

The introduction of the Ebel Classic Sports Marine is an exciting step towards infusing the watch company with color.
