This weekend marks the NFL Wild Card play-off games. The Kansas City Chiefs are playing the Indianapolis Colts late Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis. The New Orleans Saints will be heading off against the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday evening in Philadelphia. The Cincinnati Bengals are hosting the San Diego Chargers Sunday afternoon and the San Francisco Forty-Niners are visiting the Green Bay Packers late Sunday afternoon.

This year, the wildest aspect of the Wild Card games is the wild weather expected at three of the four games. It will be freezing in Philadelphia when the Saints play the Eagles Saturday night. Cincinnati is expecting temperatures of 35 degrees this Sunday along with rain and snow. The temperature will be minus 5 degrees in Green Bay on Sunday with wind chill factor could drop as low as
minus 51. Only Kansas City will have no weather concerns, when they play
indoors at Indianapolis.

Many fans of the Wild Card teams are choosing to watch the game at home this weekend instead of braving the harsh winter elements outside. The four weekend games are not sold out as of today and the Green Bay–San Francisco game on Sunday is now being called the Ice Bowl, since this could very well be the coldest game in play-off history.SL-21818S-F-GBP

Interestingly the last Ice Bowl was in 1967, when Green Bay hosted the Dallas Cowboys and defeated the visiting team in minus 48 degree wind chill weather.
