The solar equinox occurs twice a year, usually around March 20th and September 22nd. This is the time when the Earth’s equator passes the center of the sun and daytime and nighttime on this specific day are of equal durations.

The two equinoxes also serve to herald the introduction of the spring and fall seasons, as the weather in most parts of the globe transition in changing temperature.  The dramatic contrasts between the seasons, as well as daytime and nighttime serve as the emphasis for a new timepiece collection by prominent International watchmaker Elini Barokas, appropriately named Equinox.ELINI-12989-YG-01-BB
