Edox Watches founded in 1884 in Biel/Bienne Switzerland is a pre-eminent watchmaker celebrated for introducing the Delfin timepiece in 1961, the first timepiece that was water resistant to 200 meters, setting the standards for both shock protection and water resistance in the watch industry. The brand was founded by Christian Ruefli-Flury, a Swiss watchmaker who was convinced by his wife Pauline to start his own watch company.
